Metabolic Health Coach Marc Bates Releases YouTube Video Challenging Daily Supplement Protocols

Marc Bates (MPH), metabolic health coach, has released part six of his interview series with Rob Bateman (@no_timetocook) on YouTube, presenting evidence-based findings that challenge conventional supplement industry practices. The video investigates strategic cycling approaches for ketogenic and carnivore dieters.

The investigation reveals that whole foods often outperform expensive supplements in nutrient delivery. Bates demonstrates how grass-fed butter provides superior Omega 15 content compared to costly pills marketed by supplement companies.

"Supplementation should not be your normal diet. Your normal diet should suffice with all the nutrients you need. You want to supplement for very specific reasons," Bates stated during the interview.

The research emphasizes targeted interventions over daily protocols. Bates explains that supplements should address specific health issues like gut dysbiosis temporarily, rather than becoming permanent dietary additions.

"When you eat whole foods, you get all the nutrients your body needs. People will tell you you don't. It's like they're advocating for just more expensive pills that you probably don't need," Bates noted.

The video explores MCT oil science, specifically C8 chain efficiency for rapid ketosis, and examines when creatine and leucine supplementation provides actual benefits for strength athletes and adults over 60.

Bates advocates for strategic cycling between anabolic and catabolic phases, proposing a 1:3 framework alternating one week of fasting-focused activity with three weeks of building mode supplementation.
